Maggie McCloskey is a self-taught, multi-disciplinary artist, philosopher and Magic Maker whose work explores themes of healing, self-reclamation, and belonging. Drawing inspiration from her lived experience as a queer, neurodivergent person living with CPTSD, her work is an eternal practice of becoming, and unbecoming, spiraling ever closer to her truest expression of Self.
The use of salvaged materials as a primary source in her visual art reflects the themes of repair, reintegration, and radical reclamation. It is a conversation about the alchemical process of Self actualization.
With a passion for engaging with community and sharing her journey, Maggie hopes to inspire others in their own healing, emphasizing the importance of belonging, and radical self-acceptance. Her art is an invitation to explore what it means to live authentically and allow all parts of our Selves to be witnessed, known, and loved.
